About This Project
This homeowner needed a wider driveway and more room to turn around and park. We excavated into the hillside along the drive to make space, removed the soft topsoil, and shaped a firm subgrade.
Drainage pipe was installed along the edge to carry water away from the driving surface, which is key to keeping a gravel driveway from rutting and washing out.
We then placed and compacted gravel across the driveway and turnaround, finishing with a clean, crowned surface that sheds water and holds up to daily use.
