About This Project

This project turned a section of open, dry pasture into a large pond. We laid out the footprint, stripped the surface, and dug the basin with excavators while track loaders and a dozer moved and spread the excavated material.

The work went beyond simply digging a hole. The banks were cut to gradual, stable slopes so they hold up as water levels rise and fall, and the bottom was shaped to the depth the owner wanted. Excavated soil was used on site, so very little had to be trucked away.

With several machines working the site at the same time, the dig moved quickly and the field was left clean and graded around the finished pond.
