About This Project
The owner wanted a large shop on a sloped, wooded property. We cut into the hillside to create a flat, compacted building pad sized for a pole-frame structure, and graded the cut bank behind it to a stable slope.
With the pad ready, the builder was able to set posts and start framing right away. We then built out a gravel driveway and parking area so trucks and equipment can reach the shop year-round.
Getting the pad level and well-compacted from the start gives the building a solid foundation and keeps water moving away from the structure.
